About Us
Concordia Minority Students' Mental Health Research Team is part of the Culture, Health, and Personality Lab directed by Dr. Andrew Ryder in the Psychology Department at Concordia University.
We are dedicated to researching the mental health needs of minority students and providing resources for the students. Our mission is to promote mental health awareness and create a sense of community among diverse minority students at Concordia University.

This project began in 2021, during which we conducted a university-wide online survey, followed by focus groups.

Student mental health is one of the most pressing issues being addressed at the administrative level. However, this is a complex challenge that cannot be easily resolved, as the student body is a diverse population with varying institutional, financial, logistical, and social needs.
